Pointing without moving the index finger in the tashahhud

Question: What is the ruling regarding moving the (index) finger (of the right hand) during the tashahhud? Should it be moving or is it sufficient to point without moving it?

Response: Whilst it is better to move (the finger), both are from the Sunnah of the Prophet (sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam).
